The space

It is a 3 minute walk from the parking area to the tent. You MUST READ the check-in instructions very carefully before you come (we will send them 2 days before arrival). Otherwise, it’s hard telling where you may end up in this great forest. If you be sure to READ AND FOLLOW our instructions, you should find the place easily. Amenities? Queen bed, mini fridge, electric lights, outhouse, outdoor shower, outdoor propane stove, fire pit, picnic table, all your bedding, towels and washcloths, 6 gallons of water (you can walk to the hydrant for more- it’s a 5 min walk), a wood stove, and an AM...

Guest access

You will have access to the entire tent, the surrounding yard area, the outhouse, and the outdoor shower. These are your own private accommodations and are not shared with any other guests. There is just one locked shed for cleaning supplies next to the shower.

Yes! If you run out, however, local convenience stores sell campfire wood bundles.

6 gallons of nonpotable wash water will be left at the tent. You can get more at the hydrant that is a 5-minute walk from the tent. Although several bottles of drinking water will be left at the tent to get you started, you will want to bring drinking water with you.

Gateway Family Restaurant is the nearest restaurant. It is just 3 miles from the cabin. Their food and prices are great! Other nearby options include The Hollow, Subway, Korner Shop Cafe, and Yokum's General Store and Deli.

You might get a little AT&T service at random places on the property. For more reliable AT&T, drive to the East Overlook close to Spruce Knob, or there is a small stretch you can get service between Spruce Mountain Cabins and Seneca Rocks. You can get Verizon around 50 minutes away in the Canaan Valley area.

House Rules

-The person booking the tent is responsible for all damages to the property by your
party.
-Inventory will be taken after each stay, and missing items will be billed to the person
that registers the cabin.
-Check-in time is anytime after 4 pm; check-out time is no later than 11:00 am.
-To avoid additional cleaning fees, please leave the property neat and clean upon
departure.
-Please leave used sheets, towels, and washcloths in a pile on the floor inside the
tent and take all trash out to the garbage can by the parking area.
-No smoking or vaping inside; leave no evidence of smoking outside.
-No discharge of fire arms, fire works, or other explosives.
--No loud or disruptive behavior, abuse of alcohol, or drug usage will be permitted.
-There will be no house keeping services during your stay except by request for an
additional charge.
-Members of staff or management may enter the premises for the purpose of
inspection and verification of maximum occupancy at anytime.
-We will not be responsible for any injuries to anyone in your party or loss of property
for any reason.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund minus credit card fees up until 14 days before check-in.
After that, guests can cancel up to 5 days before check-in and get a refund of one night and the cleaning fee.
