How about a trip to the country to clear your head? Life is crazy and you need to slow down and take a breather. This private space with its stunning mountain views is the perfect place to get away from it all. If you can't leave your work, bring it along and work remotely-- Yep, it's a remote location but we've got good WiFi available for ya! When you need a break, head over to Seneca Rocks or Spruce Knob for a fun hike.

We remodeled a room in our lower level that was being used very little into something quite like a motel room, only with a much more country/quality touch. It will feel private. . . one other guest cabin positioned several hundred feet away and we will be the only people around, as opposed to a motel full of people!

You will find it hard to locate lodging with a view like ours! It is worth chilling out in front of for a good while!

You will have access to a private full bathroom with fresh linens, body wash, and shampoo provided.

In addition, you will be able to use our WiFi, so if you need to work remotely while you are here, no problem!

There is a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room for your food preparation. Coffee, creamer, and sugar as well as a four-cup coffee pot are provided as well-- the final touch to your home-away-from-home.

Please note that we do not allow pets, early check-ins, or late check-outs.

Check-in is anytime after 3 pm, and check-out is at 11:00 am or before.

If you come in the winter, we recommend bringing an AWD.

You will have access to your private room and private bath as well as the lower-level patio. You are welcome to use our firepit and wander all over the property, except for the space around the guest cabin above our garden (please kindly give these guests their privacy). We love it when our guests make themselves at home and enjoy the entire property!

We keep a mowed walking path around our pasture for your enjoyment and ours. Viewing the mountains from different angles along the path is pretty neat.

We live here full-time and will come and go with our normal lives. However, we enjoy our guests and are happy to visit or answer questions if you wish.

Our home is surrounded by pasture and woods. You may see some cattle grazing or a farmer making hay close by. You might even see wildlife of multiple kinds if you are quiet. We keep a walking path mowed around our pasture for our enjoyment as well as yours.
Our property is situated on a narrow back road; so watch out for other travelers, people, animals, etc.

No public transportation is available.

If you come in winter, you may need an all-wheel drive vehicle. Check into this before you come if it is snow season.
There is little to no mobile phone service in this area. Plan accordingly.
There is free WiFi for you, but no electronic devices. Bring what you want to use.
There is no TV or DVD. This area has way too many fun things to need those things!
You must walk through a small section of our yard to get to your door. We hope to make a sidewalk someday. Bring extra shoes in case the grass is wet.
You are welcome to use the firepit in the backyard. We also have firewood for sale ($0.50 per piece). We will give you starter materials, lawn chairs, and hot dog sticks to borrow, and whatever else you need (as long as we have it (: )

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: Ninety-seven percent (97.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 8 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 8 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
